EATING (OUT)

When it comes to eating out you could be in for a number of pleasant surprises.

Your day starts with a sumptuous breakfast (optional) which is served on the patio next to the swimming pool. During colder periods we serve in the indoor breakfast room. Ingredients are mainly farm-fresh products, including Rita's home-made jams and preserves.

All around you are vineyard estates offering excellent food in a very relaxed atmosphere.
If you're around at lunchtime, you can pop along the road to Bon Courage, Weltevrede or Rooiberg for a light meal. Or experience the unexpected at De Stal in Montagu, or Riggs in Bonnievale.

For dinner you've got some of the Western Cape's finest restaurants a short drive away. Here in the Klaasvoogds valley there's Fraai Uitzicht 1785 and Rosendal. Mallowdeen Gardens operates a free taxi-service to and from these fine-dining restaurants (subject to availability).

Robertson has a number of restaurants to choose from: our pick for fine dining is GuBas De Hoek: offers a 3 or 4 course gourmet menu accompanied by the bests wines from the Robertson Wine Valley.

Nearby Montagu boasts a wide selection of restaurants: our favorite is Jessica's, where dinner is served in a contemporary, yet romantic dining room, or, on warm summer evenings, can be enjoyed under the stars in a landscaped garden with terraces, wooden deck and water feature.
